Unfortunately, housing costs in Portland have placed homeownership out of reach for many hard working families. The gap is growing between the buying power of people's wages and the cost of a decent home in Portland.

That's where PCLT comes in.

Since 1999 Portland Community Land Trust has been helping families own homes at prices they can afford. We invest in every home that we help families purchase, "buying down" the purchase price. And thanks to our program, these homes will remain affordable, upon resale, to another moderate-income, first-time homebuyer.

PCLT homeowners gain equity and financial stability, and Portland gains homes that are affordable for generations to come.
